Baby Spa & Massage

Hydrotherapy float is a safe therapy for babies as young as 4 weeks old. It was first introduced in Japan as a therapy method to improve babies muscle tone, lung capacity and strengthens extremities (arms/hands/fingers and legs/feet/toes).

There are a number of studies on the benefits of floating for babies. All hydrotherapy studies document beneficial effects such as enhanced physical/mental development, increased weight gain.

Babies love floating as they are born with natural swimming reflex. It is important to nurture this skill within the first 6 months so your baby becomes o a strong swimmer. We encourage your little ones to maintain continuous visits to float to as they gain confidence and familiarity in water.

Cloud nine floatation allows your baby to move freely in the water and your baby will enjoy the experience of stretching and relaxing. After each session babies sleep and eat better.

Float & Massage (0-6 months)

Classes are limited to 2 babies per session. Enjoy watching your baby float, followed by infant massage instruction. Approximately 1 hour

The special two-part float and massage program is best suited for babies aged 6 weeks to 6 months. Your baby is treated to a 20-minute hydrotherapy session, immediately followed by an instructor-led baby massage from a parent using a custom blend of organic, cold-pressed oils.

Upon your arrival we weigh your baby on a warm scale and fit then into fresh soft chemical free diapers that are fitted according to your baby thigh size. Your baby is individually fitted with the appropriate water floatation ring, as they gently cradles your baby's chin and placed above your baby shoulders and just below the back of the head. The water is kept anywhere between 95 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Each baby bathes in a fresh water tub that is disinfected prior to each session.

The benefits include increased muscular and skeletal power, strengthened respiratory system and increased cognitive development, among others. The full-body massage can help stimulate a baby’s immune system and alleviate digestive issues.

Babies build an appetite while floating, we suggest parents are prepared to feed their baby right after their massage, we welcome feeding before if necessary. Together parents can enjoy a cup of fresh herbal tea.

Tummy Time

Stage 1: 6 weeks to 6 months - 30 minutes

The focus of the class is on your baby and how to establish healthy play and tummy time with singing and interactive play. For moms and babies from 6 weeks until they start crawling (and then you graduate to the crawling class).

Our classes will help your baby to gain a strong foundation in early physical and mental development, building an extensive range of motion, and learn to focuses their vision, hearing and touch.

Crawling Time

Stage 2: 6 months to walking - 30 minutes

This class will help your baby to gain physical, social and cognitive skills by moving, playing and crawling with other babies. Your baby is encouraged to explore their physical activity and range of motion to strengthen their arms, legs, joints and their torso.

Your baby will gain a solid foundation for walking. Babies will also strengthen their muscles which establishes a good foundation for feeding, swallowing and healthy digestion as you introduce solid foods.

This class is for moms and babies who have started crawling until they start walking and involves singing and interactive play.

Walking Time

Stage 3: 9-12 months up - 30 minutes

Together parents and toddlers explore as part of a non competitive play group. Toddlers are encouraged to express their creative imagination through play, song and movement which improves their confidence and patience while building a strong foundation for speech, language and physical activity. 

This class is for moms and babies who are starting to walk or walking already.

Weaning.
